O'Flaherty Irish Music Retreat
If you can't make the youth camp or you want to provide more instruction for your kids, we invite you to join us on Oct. 29-31, 2010 for the seventh annual O'Flaherty Irish Music Retreat. This year there will be full-day programs for ages 6-10 called the Kids Irish Music & Heritage Workshops as well as our regular class program for those kids who have the playing and learning abilities to be added to classes with our adult students. The retreat is held at Hoblitzelle Camp and Conference Center in Midlothian, Texas, 30 minutes south of Dallas. For more information, visit the retreat website at www.oflahertyretreat.org. Here are some of the important details to help you plan:
Dates: Monday and Tuesday, July 12-13, 2010
Location: Heights Baptist Church, 201 W. Renner Rd., Richardson, TX 75080
Ages: 5-17
Tuition: $75 for two days, $50 for one day
Classes: Fiddle, guitar, flute, whistle, piano, mandolin/bouzouki/tenor banjo, bodhran and a special music program for the younger5 students called "Fun with Irish Music" (See all the class descriptions on Classes page)
