Travis specializes in acoustic music, both live sound and recording engineering. He started as sound man for Tinker's Dam in the early 80s and Lost Tribe in the 90s, two of the DFW area's finest Irish trad bands. Travis is probably the most requested sound man by Celtic bands in Texas because of his careful attention to the sounds of instruments and his ability to bring out vocals with clarity and warmth. He is pictured "doing sound" with 24 channels for the Cathie Ryan Band at SCMA's Celtic Christmas. Travis has a multitrack recording studio close to McKinney, Texas called Rockin' T Audio Ranch. He has a number of recorded CDs to his credit including "The Irish Rogues, 20 years," an NTIF compilation CD, and the "Live at Trinity Hall" CD.
