Rick lives in Plano, TX and has been a fan of Irish music for 25 years. Thanks to educational opportunities afforded by the Traditional Irish Music Education Society (TIMES), he began playing tin whistle in 2004 and more recently keyless flute. Trying hard to make up for lost time, you will find him at most Dallas area open sessions. Rick has taught the ABC notation class for the O’Flaherty retreat since 2005 and also formats the retreat’s tune books. He has degrees in both music education and computer science from the University of North Texas. In 2007, Rick was elected to the TIMES Board of Directors and serves as registrar for the O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat.
