General:
1. Have you been playing traditional Irish music on
whistle for at least two years?
2. Do you practice on a daily or regular basis?
3. Can you play jigs and reels comfortably with consistent timing and rhythm
and without sheet music?
4. Are you capable of learning traditional Irish tunes by ear?
Repertoire:
1. Can you play from memory at least thirty tunes including jigs and reels?
Technique
1. Can you execute all of the basic forms of Irish whistle
ornamentation in your playing such as cuts, taps and tonguing?
2. Are you familiar with more advanced whistle ornamentation such as rolls
and crans?
3. Are you comfortable playing in any octave with smooth control of air
flow?
